Default Fenix ARB-L21-5000U 21700 USB rechargable issues

    Hello all,
I have been an intermittent lurker for years but not much of a poster.

I have recently procured several ARB-L21-5000U batteries. I have two concerns:

    1. Charging does not seem to be possible with a USB-C to USB-C cable. It is possible with a USB-A to USB-C cable. I have replicated this on multiple cells, chargers and cables.

    2. The temperature of the top terminal seems unusually hot when charging. Not good and warm, hot enough to be hard to touch for more than a second.

Has anyone else found these to be issues as well?

    Regards,
    Tom

Can speak about the cables, but the positive terminals on all my Fenix USB batteries get hot when charging (I have 18650s and 16340s). I imagine it's because the terminal is directly connected to the business center of the cell, whereas the rest of the cell is insulated.
