Looking for a simple rechargeable light as a gift to a non-flashaholic.
They would use it for general around the house tasks

As few output modes as possible would be best
Integrated charging like Micro-usb or charging cradle is also a plus

I'd appreciate any ideas :D

I gifted my OlightS1R to my mother which knows nothing about flashlights and she can use it just fine. It has 3 modes which are cycled by holding the side button. Really anyone can figure this out. The magnetic charging is very easy to use, no one can mess this up. Its quite robust too.

Many people like the olight so im recommending it. It should also be bright and small enough for pretty much anything. Magnetic base is also useful. The only real disadvantage is the propiatary 16340 that olight uses, but a non-flashaholic will not care about that.

I second the Olight recommendation. Their interface is such that simply turning the light on and off is as simple as it should be. Click on, click off.

The Sofirn SP31B is a great little light, really simple UI, and High CRI.
There is also a version of the Convoy M3 that has built in charging as well, but I can`t remember the name of it, Soz!

I use a Browning Crossfire almost every night at my house.
