a tricky one guys.i'm after a LONG range handheld spotlight.torches have advanced heaps but 12 volt are the same crap.i shoot with a fenix tk30(best rifle light ) and have a acebeam w30 coming but i'm after a handheld that can run continuously.looked at the weltool w4 but manufacturer says 10 minutes runtime.i also would like more flood than these two while still keeping the distance plus led and lep drop down due to heat.the great white led car spotlights are stunning but WEIGHT is crap.i'd prefer 12v but have plenty of 18650 and 21700 batteries if i have to go that way.any ideas? many thanks mike

How "long range" you looking for.

I have a Streamlight ProTac HL-5X

I wouldn't say long range, but this thing is a powerhouse and has the 10 tap programming from Streamlight and you can buy the light without any batteries because it runs fine on two 18650s.

Might give it a look,

And the tints are naturalish!

I loved the 1st one I got a 2nd.

Check out the Acebeam L17 & forthcoming L18 . I own the L17 and it is 18650 thrower...just amazing. I like it enough I'm ordering the L18 21700 ...1000 meter throw.
A few nice reviews of the L17 on you tube.

Just added to my Christmas list! Thanks bro!

I'm curious why use a 21700 cell though and not a traditional 18650?

Is it the current draw?

Also I guess you could use an 18650 if needed to right?
