Hello,
I'm planning on buying a flashlight and am looking at the following two options.

Nitecore MH23 or Nitecore E4K

Is there much difference between them? I tried looking at the website but it wasn't so clear what the difference was.

I have no experience with the e4k, but the mh23 is one of my favorites. The e4k is newer, and has twice the output. The shape of the mh23 allows great throw in a small package.

It seems like the E4K is IP68 whereas the MH23 is IPX8. Is IP68 better than IPX8 or is it the other way around?

the 1st digit is dust protection, 2nd digit is water resistance/proofness. the X means it hasn't been tested.

the e4k is 21700/4-xpl/4400lm/11100cd/211m for bright flood and the mh23 is 18650/1800lm/21600cd/294m, less bright with short-medium throw.

besides both lights being relatively small and of similar form with side switches, imo they are quite different in performance.

E4K is 4400 lumens with a balance of spot and throw. The MH23 is 1800 lumens with more throw. If you want more throw, I think the MH10s or MH12s are cheaper with a larger battery than the MH23.
