Well on the TN42 the SBT-90 cost like $200 extra, but something like the BLF GT90 only costs $350 total and $400-450 for the Mateminco so I really don't know, idk what the raw cost of the emitter is either or if it puts out more lumens at the same current as the SBT so could be a easy direct swap or if it just allows more peak current thus needing driver tweaks.

I really don't know, thats why I'm asking, looking to buy a mega thrower but don't wanna be one upped right away after purchase.

Unfortunately you probably will be. I got out of the chase because every time you buy the newest latest greatest anymore a few months later something comes out 200 dollars cheaper that puts your light to shame haha. Gotta be like my kids Pokémon games and catch em all I guess
