whats up with drop test?

Just make sure you drop the flashlight the exact same way the manufacturer test dropped it and you're golden.. maybe.

They are supposed to drop test 5 sample lights 6 times each in different orientations onto concrete and remain functional to pass.

Problem is most manufactures don't have anything tested and just claim phony 1.5 Meter drop ratings.

Drop test are pretty much just a sell point. Just about any light today can be dropped from 4-5 feet and be just fine.

I dropped an sk68 from 30 feet while fighting a fire in a boiler room and it survived. It’s a dollar light. I don’t care much for drop tests
