Thank you for the nice review.
I wish I had waited for this one instead of jumping on the E10. This seems a better light than just a fancy toy.
A very nice and thorough review. Great beam shots. It looks to be a super duper thrower, and possibly combined with a good headlamp would make a nice walkabout kit.
Very interesting light. LEP lights always seemed a toy to me because of impractically narrow beam and nearly 5 times lesser phosphorus layer life time.
Interesting. Was ready to take the leap on a LEP but, for the price, it may be nice to pick this one up 1st. Maybe even 2...green and a white.
I know they are different animals....probably end up with a LEP in the future just because this is CPF!
Would I notice a difference between my Klarus XT12GT and the Acebeam L17?
(I assume I would.)

These things sell out fast. I ordered soon after I git a stock notice but they were already sold out. Thinking that's a good sign.
I'm glad I found CPF, I was beginning to think I was strange![]()

Thanks CPF, thanks Think2x
Thank you! That is what I was thinking and hoping for. Of course, most people here will think my reason for this quite silly, but so be it. I own a horse and sometimes ride him at night. I typically wear a cap with a light on it or sometimes a helmet with a LED light on it. I also have one, or both, of my Klarus XT12GT lights with me, too. I just love to light up the county forest and see what animals I can see at night. Usually, it is white-tailed deer. Perhaps the further reach of the Acebeam L17 would do a bit better job of that.

You'd be well served to get the L17 with the green LED option. Battery Junction has those in stock I believe. Even more throw with the green!

The light is huge for an 18650. It is larger than most 21700 lights. For this size, I don't understand why Acebeam didn't just make it a 21700 light? I like how with this optic, the spill gets dispersed evenly so the hotspot stands out more than from a reflector light.
Really getting a kick out of this light. Just had it out with my Surefire Dominator. Turbo matches about 7 on the Dominator....pretty impressive for an 18650 light. The low is very useable with a very nice flood beam. Recommended.
Think I need a green one.....
I got a light not a lot bigger if you look at all my rants around here that actually beats my UDR Dominator. Well, like twice the size of this. It is 4x18650. This is honestly great though because it is the size of a LEP. It outputs much more light than a LEP. I mean much more spill. Nice review.
Has anyone actually tested the throw? I bet is is a few hundred meters less than claimed. My light was, as are all of these Chinese lights.
I did not want to hijack this thread and post again. If anyone is looking at this look at the Acebeam T27. There is no comparison.

Acebeam now has the L18 - 21700 bat & more throw!
Any idea how it compares to the noctigon k1 with green osram?
