Is your light... a thrower? Eh? Know what I mean?
Greetings to the Lumen Leigon! (Is that what we are? Is there a term for us, collectively? Are we <gasp> the Illuminati?
)
As I've recently picked up a few NCR18650GA and don't think either my aging Olight M1X/Thrunite TC12v2/Nitecore HC60 will get close to their 10A discharge current, I was looking for something that might, and would add another type of light to my collection.
So I decided I might investigate a thrower. Or, at least, a little one. I decided to get a Lumintop GT Mini Pro. Should be here Tuesday.
It looks like from a datasheet for the INR18650-35E that appears is bundled with the light, it has a 8A maximim discharge current, so I was hoping the 18650GA would be a good match.
Am I thinking about things correctly? Do you think this light will be a change from what I have so far?
Any comments appreciated, thanks very much!

Gt mini pro is more of a flooder. Regular GT mini has about twice the candela.

Ooh! Never mind!
I imagine that's what is expected with an OP vs smooth reflector. TIL. Thanks.

Look on the bright side, you made good battery choice!

To be honest, for me right now, a flooder probably makes more practical sense.
And it gives me even more opportunities to learn more and buy more lights. It's all good, right?

“Bought the wrong torch.”
“Say ... no ... MORE!”

Those responsible have been sacked.
