Looks like I can get Toshiba 9011 from Stern. How much better, if at all, (and in what ways) is this than the Philips 9011? In other words, are these worth ordering from Stern?

The Philips is just barely above the minimum output for an HIR1 (9011) bulb. It's just the top few percentiles of 9005 burners, the ones just a teeny bit too "hot" for building into HB3 bulbs. This is possible because the allowable output range for an HB3 (9005) is 1496 to 1904 lumens, while the HIR1 is 1955 to 2645 lumens. The Toshiba HIR1s tend to be a lot further above the minimum for HIR1.

So, yes, it's worth buying the Toshiba and not worth buying the Philips.

747LeftSeat, hello I'm "Glasair1RGLeftSeat", I could not help myself seeing your name here, I am a bit overweight but absolutely not "a heavy".
But tons of fun.

XeRay, I've never flow a Glasair but they look like fun. I'm not allowed fun flying in the 747-8F (other than the enjoyment of flying itself) but it certainly is a heavy.
