Is there any 18500 lights made these days? I love the idea of almost as much capacity as an 18650 but still the option to run AA/L91/NiMH if needed. Wish list would include high CRI and a no memory or strobes but I can't think of anything that even runs 18500/AA right now. Maybe the Peak Logan 17500, but then thats 17500 isn't it?

My WF-500 Incan takes 2x 18500 batts, that`s about as High CRI as it gets, it`s also single mode ;)

I've been very tempted to slap 2s incan together, actually. In this case, though, I am looking for a single cell setup.

The JetBeam RRT-01 2020 version comes with a pair of battery/body extension tubes that permits a variety of cells lengths from 18350 -18500 - 18650!

The 18500 configuration actually looks nice (not so much the 18650.)

Here's the RRT01 configured in 18500 format running off of a single 1.2V NiMH, works despite it not being spec'd. ;)

You might find some of the less expensive lights that take 3xAAA might also fit an 18500... although you might need to make a sleeve for the loose fit. I have a 14500 that fits (lengthwise) and can run my Coast Polysteel 600R.... it could take a much larger diameter battery but different flashlights will have different internal diameters.
