I would like to have a broader beam on my Arc 4 for reading while camping etc... Does anyone know if the beam spreaders for the smaller SF lights (like E2, E1 etc...) fit on the Arc4? I recall someone mentioning this a bit ago.

It would also be a handy way to get a red filter for the Arc4 too.

Yes the F04 fits onto the ARC4. It fits quite tight.

Great! Does that work well - do you get a wide enough beam that using it for a reading light is ok?

If so, I'm getting one!

Does anyone know if the F05 will fit an Arc4 also? Just checking as well, since I have not seen these filters in person.

The beamshaper does more than shape. It makes the beam spread evenly, with no hot spot in the center, and consequently not much throw. That's a real advantage for a closeup task light, but I find that for a walkaround light I still prefer a hotter spot in the center for better throw--my LSL-P is just right for that. I am currently using my beamshaper on a Yamaguchized M*g AA with NiCds in it that sits in a charger above my work bench, and it's ideal for that.
