You can pretty much bet that at that low drain level an alky will leak on you.

Yes, lithium primaries are more expensive, but they have a better temp range, a better shelf life, and won't destroy your light when you are not looking.

At such low current, the difference in performance will be less, but as others have said, lithiums have the advantage that they don't leak. Another leak proof option would be LSD NiMH. More expensive still, but rechargeable.
