Surefire G2 Nitrolon - - LED ?

I just bought a Surefire G2 Nitrolon flashlight. Is there a replacement LED lamp assembly available that can be used on this light? The salesman told me that the G2 is identical to the 6P and the LED lamp (KL3?) will fit. Since they go for 50 - 60 bucks I don't want to buy one if it doesn't fit, and he was sold out of all LED stuff.
I have a EL Blaster III and really like it. I would like to get the benefits of an LED in a smaller size. Thanks

yes the KL3 will fit

KL3 will fit however its alot bigger head than the G2
The KL5 will fit and be much brighter and whiter. It is a bigger head as well but looks alright on a green G2.

KL5 is more expensive but it is in my opinion a much more interesting head than the KL3. It is definitely a lot more powerful and whiter than the KL3. Only drawback is that the KL5 burns 2 CR123s in an hour or so but the KL3 has a burn time of 4 hours before it drops in power.

I use a Pila 168s instead of 2 123's
Works fine for me. I carry a spare and have never used it.
