Need a new single-AA twist flashlight

I'm finding a lot of tail switch options and few unprotected side switch lights. I need something to put in a pocket and not get activated and depleted.

I have been using an older light (~3 years old) from I think 4Sevens (stylized heavy Q is all that's left of the finish). Something with a bit smoother twist action would be nice as well. I'm shopping in the ~$50 range but, there is some flexibility there for the right flashlight.

Assuming twist turn on single-AA lights are a thing of the past, what protected tail-switch models are a reasonable alternative?

Ideally, I will get a nice candela level to read text or map at night and have mid-range for a safe walk with good spread and, a "Turbo mode" to light up something a distance on rare occasions. As a discussion point, I'm think ~10, ~30, ~120 lumen level with appropriate candela intensity.

TIA,
Sid

Peak El Capitan is a twist turn on for $59.

Family made in USA.

Done.

Turbo mode is subjective… my turbo is a G29 with TLR-7a

I think there have been a few other similar threads recently.
Look into the L3 illumination L10; not the "c" model, as it has a rear switch.
Jetbeam jet1 MK is another choice.

Yes, there was one about two weeks ago I read. I was hoping for some other options that were a little more specific to my request.

Are there any good beamshots of the El Capitan?

How do the brass and stainless steel models compare to the Anodized aluminum versions?

I don't have any.

Stainless will be the most durable for when you take it on SOCOM missions. But it's a keychain light...I'd be happy with an aluminum version.

I'd look at the L10 as mentioned earlier. If you don't mind a tail clicky I'm pretty happy with the three Jaxman e3 flashlights I have.

While peak makes great stuff, I never bought their AA. The action of the qtc on my eiger just never impressed me.

Lumintop/MassDrop Vega is a 1xAA flashlight
which is packaged with TWO tailcaps.

Choose the smaller tailcap (which has No switch),
and then this handy flashlight is activated
strictly by twisting the head. Neat !

No longer available on MassDrop site,
but they are still available on Amazon.

Current stock shows Black, Blue, or Silver aluminum
(which is listed as "white").

I have several of these little gems, with the
Neutral tint emitter. But those are apparently
no longer in stock.

If I may be so Bold,
here is the LINK --

The L3 illumination L10 is out of stock at the places I shopped. It's on my list to consider with a future order if in stock.
