I really like a rotary UI. And I really like E1's. :sssh: Is it possible? Has anyone here on CPF pursued such a beast?

I've never done any custom flashlight work, so I have no idea how ludicrous this might be.

Well I'm sure someone could MAKE it...but putting it into production would be quite another matter as I'm sure there is already someone who holds the patent on that.

You do know about HDS Systems? Right?

Yea, I recently bought a 4K XPL rotary on WTS... I love it! Also have 2 new ones on the way, and maybe a third... lol. I used a couple older Surefire Maximus that have that 1-500lumen dial, and those were super useful in the shop. Especially working with metal, nice to dial it way down to avoid blinding reflections.

Perhaps I had too much whiskey last night, but perhaps there's a way to take the dial components from a Maximus and surgically implant them in an E1.
