SOLD: McLuxPR Head DB1250 LuxIII \"T\" Bin

I hate to do this but I got a ticket to pay. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Up for sale a black anoed McLuxPR head running a DB1250 and a TV0J for use with 2x123 and up. This one does not suffer from the DB stability problem and lights up fine on 3x123. This baby is bright!

It has one small ding on the lower fin that is barely noticeable. Looks like it was there before it got anodized. I had a hard time trying to get it on camera (pictured below). Other than that, it is in perfect condition. One week old, less than 20min. overall runtime.
I can post beamshots when it gets dark if requested.

SOLD $115 shipped US/Canada.
Paypal non credit card please.

shannow, sorry I don't have a light meter to tell you how much brighter the 1250 would be but maybe these pictures will help.

(All of the following lights are McLuxPR heads running on fresh Duracell 2x123s)
Left: DB917 TWAK, Center: DB1250 TV0J, Right: DB1000 TW0K

Picture accidently taken with flash but you can see the difference in brightness more

BTW, as soon as I get my paycheck, I'm gonna build three more of these (early next week). One to replace the one I wish I could have not sold, and the other two I will put up for sale here so stay tuned if interested.

Hi Darkzero...

If a line can be formed, please put me at the head of the line for one of your next and upcoming DB1250 creations.

Thanks! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Is this one of those TVOJs from you-know-where ?

In any case - nice T-head /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

Lol, yes indeed. This is the first one I've got to use from my stash and I must say, I like the tint very much. I'm happy I didn't miss out on them. Thanks again. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

Carpe, sorry no lines for the next two. I'm just gonna throw them up here. If you miss out on them, don't worry, I'll make sure you get another.

GEEEZ DB1250??? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

I thought I had the highest DB ever ordered. a DB1227

Sadly though,,,, my DB1227 is no brighter than my 1000mA Uflex. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif
Both in mags, both same bin led.

I have no light meter yet though, but, to the eye, they are the same. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon3.gif

I have a DB1500 McLux PR and you can find the brightness/runtime here or here /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Re: FS: McLuxPR Head DB1250 LuxIII \"T\" Bin

Carpe, I'll keep you posted. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

JT, yup 1250. Not sure if it gets any brighter after 1.1A (someone once said from 1.5A-1.0A no difference on light meter) but as you can see in the pics, there's definitely a noticeable difference over the DB1000.

I ordered a DB blank and gave it a total resistence of .040 to equal exactly 1250. I didn't measure the current at the emitter this time but I will next time.

How toasty does the head (DB1500) get? I was gonna do the DB1250 in a PR-T head but glad I didn't. It gets hot but my 5W DD McLuxPR head still out irons it.

Is it really brighter at 1500? Maybe I should just try it....

thx

It gets really hot if no cooling. See this chart. Also, this illustrates how the heat will reduce the light output.
