This Enlux lamp was written up in today's "Circuits" section of the New York Times. It's meant to replace 65w incandescent lamps but wholesales @ the $50-60 range. Still,I'm intrigued. Some of my commercial interior design clients may serve as guinea pigs. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
The below link doesn't show the illustration in the print addition--- It looks like a floodlight w/ cooling fins--rather cool.

If I posted this in an inappropriate forum,my apologies. This seems to slip between the cracks.

The NYT link goes to a username/password prompt... and the NYT will spam you to death if you give them your email address... (personal prior experience).

What's the expected lifetime in hours?

If you have the available voltage and current, but are looking for an efficient light, use florescent, they are much more efficient than the best LED, however they are not focusable. On that front, LEDs do much better. LEDs also do specific colors much nicer.
