Why does Streamlight have two different lines of rechageable Flashlights? When I viewed the Streamlight web site I noticed the SL 35X was more expensive than the Ultrastinger, and I always thought the Ultrastinger was the ultimate Streamlight rechargable flashlight. The Streamlight website doesn't really tell you anything and I was wondering if any body knows why?

What do you mean by <ultimate>? Size, brightness, weight or price?
Ultrastinger and SL-35 are two different flashlights for different purpose. SL-35 is a huge flashlight with a lot of power, non-focusable and 1.5 hours of burn time.
Ultrastinger is much lighter than SL-35, focusable, smaller battery pack, with one hour run time.
Streamlight has some other type of nice rechargeables too.
BTW, many of us are waiting for Strion.

Stinger series are more portable, expecially Standard, XT, and PolyStinger. PolyStinger particularly hot with law enforcement due to light weight which is supposed to reduce risks of law suits as a result of people being tapped with larger, heavier duty lights. Actually halogen bulbs in SL series are more robust, less fragile, than xenon bulbs in Stinger series.
