Has anybody tried Carclo Optic's collimating lenses? Much of them are close to the Fraen products, but they do have one with a BS of 4 degrees. 50mm in diameter and 110 Cd/lm! They have a US address too. Their Classic optics are 20mm in diameter, smaller than the Fraen ones. The resultant triple-optics cluster holder is only 45 mm in diameter, so fitting it into flashlight heads is easier. The Fraen's is 50 mm but it needed the optics cut to fit in. Don't know who retails them though. Happy experimenting!

Did anyone else notice the following on their datasheets?
Two hex versions are available, one for the 1 Watt Star Board, the other for the recessed 2,3 and 5 Watt Star Boards.
2 Watt Star? Perhaps they know about something in the pipeline that hasn't been officially announced.
BTW, these look like good stuff. That hex holder fills a need that has been wanting.
