problem with arc 4

Has anyone any ideas that can help me with my arc4?

It used to work fine... but recently its started going haywire. Its been turning on of its own accord. I leave it lying around on a desk (switched off), and come back an hour later and its switched itself on (full brightness). If I turn it off, it stays off for awhile, then turns itself back on again as soon as i turn my back (it seems posessed ;-)

Also, when i turn it on myself, instead of just switching on immediately like it used to, it flickers itself a few times before turning on. It turns off instantly when required.

I've tried putting in brand new batteries a few times but its the same.

ive tried doing the "reset" procedure, if i understood it right, it means leaving a battery out for 5 minutes, then putting a fresh one back in.

Anyone got any ideas?

is this one of the arc4+ rev 1 or the newer arc4" rev2?

Sprinkle it with holy water, annoint it with oil, and attach a clove of garlic to it............
