What are or have been in the past the best luxeon bins for:
1watt R2H ?
3watt-TWOJ or T?
5watt-?

Does anybody know what Bin Pelican uses in the 1watt PM6LED?

Thanks.

there is a 3W that has a bin starting with a U
1w, i believe there is an S
and on the 5W, no thing beats an X3T /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I'd almost kill for a U binned 3W. I haven't seen one myself yet.

As for the most common:

In the 1W's, the R3H is probably to the most desirable, if you were going to choose strictly according to bin. In real life, I've found the Q3J's to be the most consistent in color of light and brightness. If you find an S, you're lucky. I've never seen one of those either. Keep in mind though, I haven't been around that long.

In the 3W's, the TWOJ has probably been the most sought after. If you find a place to get 'em, let me know!

In the 5W's, the X3T is it.

R3H? X3T? Q3J?

Those aren't consistent with the bin code structure I'm familiar with.

I know that the first place is flux, and the last one is probably Vf, but that digit in the center is baffling.

Idleprocess,

The 3's are from the old binning system. 1 was pea green, 2 was greenish, 3 was ideal, 4 was bluish, and 5 was purple. People usually aimed for 3's, but usually 4's and sometimes 2 are considered okay.

The new binning system uses two letters, to more accurately describe a specific color on the color wheel, rather than the old color line.
