KL1 modded current?

A question for the KL1 pros - I stacked the 1 and .1 ohm resistors from info found here, and they measure about right (Fluke 8060). I put a SYOL LuxIII in there, but I'm only measuring 450 mA at the emitter, not the 700mA I was expecting. The original low dome was drawing 300mA before the mod. Any ideas? It's pretty bright, but I don't have any other LuxIII at 700mA to compare.

If you are getting a .5 ohm reading from the stacked 1 ohm resistors and a 0 ohm reading (that's what I get with my DMM), then you're right on.

I think that your DMM is picking up some resistance from somewhere, when you take your current reading. Maybe in the leads or something.

What makes me think this is that the stock KL1 should be pumping about 350mA and all that I've seen have been pretty much right on.
