Lately I've been tempted to do some solar powered projects. I have a 12 volt power pack that doubles as a vehicle lighter socket, and a 4 in 1 compressor / light / battery pack that I want to be able to charge via solar power. That one I know already what I need for it to work.
This one above is a 1.8 Watt solar charger that can be plugged into your lighter socket to charge your battery.
My other idea was that I have a variety of radio controlled vehicles, that run off of a 9.6 volt battery pack. Now I'm thinking on a full charge a 9.6v battery pack is 12 volts. Is it possible to convert one of these vehicles to run off of solar power? I'm not really looking for speed, as much as I would prefer a runtime slightly greater than the 12-15 minutes the battery packs provide.
