I have written this down on my desk calender from somewhere on this site I have seen before.

1 lumen = 150 CP
1 CP = 0.007 lumen

You may have to ask around to confirm the validity of these formulas though. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon3.gif

You can not convert candlepower to lumens or lumens to candlepower. Lumens is a measurement of total light output, while candlepower is a measurement of the amount of light in the hotspot of a light....but it does not factor in sidespill, as lumens does.

I think candlepower to LUX can be done, however CP or LUX to LUMENS needs an integrating sphere. Ask Craig Jonson about this. Someone needs to get Craig an Integating Sphere so he can do lumens.

Any second hand units available?

Maybe this could be a CPF project?
