Electronics in the Arc AAA? ...

I'm far from being an EE. But I am vaguely aware of the Sun/Moon mode and the regulation to raise the voltage at the expense of amperaqe.

Could someone tell me a little aboutn exactly what elextronics are in these things to do what they do? I've had one for 18 months and I've always been curious about what electronics make it works the way it does.
