There is an accessory for the Game Boy Advance (Pelican Light Shield PLUS for Game Boy)that has a white LED that runs off of a single AAA battery. This thing also has a dimmer switch built in. ...and, it costs $10.
So, it must have a step up controller (White LED run off of a 1.5v AAA) AND the ability to dim the output.
Anybody have any experience with this? Anybody modded one? Looks like a pretty inexpensive project!
Here is a picture of a mod from a Game Boy site where they wired up 3 5600 MCD white LEDs to the thing. Apparently just wired right to the Game Boy???
