Merry Christmas to all CPF members!!!
I've been thinking about finding a 2 x 123 cell torch and retrofiting some leds and maybe a regulator.
Which kind of regulator should I use? Voltage or current? The few torches I've been looking at are the UK2L, or maybe the Legend LX (since I have two of those) but the bezel of the LX is soooo heavy! Even heavier than the torch itself with batteries!
From the size of lens, I'd say that about 10-18 leds can fit in. Of course I can use a LS but I'm in Hong Kong, so getting one of those would be a lot of trouble.
On a side note, it also seems that the LX bulb and the E2 bulb is very similar in shape and construction. Of course minus the base on the E2 bulb. If there are LX bulbs around, it would be quite possible to fit these T1 3/4 bulbs onto old E2 bulb bases if costs are less.
