Longbow, Lumileds luxeon or luxeon clone?

Does anyone know or is there any way to find out if the Longbows use a true luxeon star from Lumileds or is it a luxeon clone from another manufacturer?

Is anybody knocking off Luxeons??? The emitter on my Longbow micra looks exactly like any other 1 watt Luxeon I've ever seen. Same die, same die attach hex substrate mount. Same gold fly-wires, same little reflector and plastic lens/encapulation. Can't see the leads since they are potted in black epoxy.

My take is if it looks like a Luxeon and smells like a Luxeon and tastes like a Luxeon then it's a Luxeon.

The only thing that makes me just a little suspicious that it might not really be a Luxeon is that it's brighter and whiter than any other 1 watt Luxeon I own.

Look at this thread Longbow group buy .

Their statement is, that they use only Q or better Luxeons.
