Lux 3 on 4D Maglite: Downboy?

I want to put a 3W Lux on a 4D Maglite without blowing the bulb whats the best type of cicuitry I can put on it? Downboy? If so...which one? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thinking.gif I'd appreciate suggestions regarding this, I know it will blow if I hook it up DD so I need some type of resistor.

You could always put in a dummy cell and DD it from 3 cells.

I have a Mag4D with a Hotlips D, LuxIII TWOK and DownBoy1000.
Using Supreme Power NiMH 9000mAh batteries it runs 8 hours and 15 minutes in regulation. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Okay...DownBoy1000 eh? I think I'll go that route...unless someone else got any other suggestions....
