At Target the silver Dorcy 2 C 8 LED price was cut by $2 (US). I still believe you would be better off putting this toward a 1 W Luxeon based light such as an Inova X0.

So how much is it after the price cut? It was on sale at a local sporting goods store (Big 5) for $ 35. over Memorial day. Just curious.

If you're interested in the 2C, consider the Nuwai AT-100 instead. 10 leds, 2 stage switch (3 or 10 leds), similar price, and much better construction. It uses Nichias, too.

They've yet to cut Eddie Bauer LED prices enough for me to buy one!
