I think someone reviewed it a few weeks ago in the reviews section. Generally the favorite Minimag LED mods around here are the Opalec Newbeam and the Sandwich Shoppe Luxeon modules.

The LT-1 isn't a Luxeon, thus can't be compared "1 on 1" to a Luxeon. It's a 3mm LED. I just received mine today.

While I'm not a reviewer...I'll throw out a few words.

This little baby certainly breathes life back into a AAA MiniMag! It of course is a simple "drop-in" replacement for the standard MiniMag bulb, giving you all the benefits of a LED instead of that little sickly yellow beam that's "standard" in a MiniMag.

It also runs off of 1.5 volts. I tried it in a MiniMiniMag as well.

Though it keeps the focusing ability of the MiniMag...my primary use of this little replacement will be "in the candle mode" with the AAA MiniMag and the MiniMiniMag. Longer runtimes during power outages using less battery energy, while providing a "cleaner color light" than the standard "yellow" bulb...that's what I'm talkin' bout!

Here's the runtime plot for the LT-1 in a AAA MiniMag. It'll be intresting to see if the performance improves with the new AAA Li batteries....(on order)!

Here is a beam shot comparison I did between the MiniMag with the standard MiniMag bulb and the LT-1 bulb at http://www.led-replacement.com/lt-1_shots.html
I sell and use the LT-1 in my MiniMag AA and AAA flashlights.
I also have compared the LT-1 with the TerraLUX TLE-5.
The TerraLux uses a Luxeon led bulb and the LT-1 uses a ground down Nichia led bulb. The TLE-5 is slightly brighter than the LT-1 but draws more current (TLE-5 draws 300ma) and (LT-1 draws only 180ma) The other advantage of the LT-1 is a direct replacement bulb and fits right into the hole in the reflector. The TLE-5 requires replacing the reflector with a special reflector with a larger hole to make room for the larger luxeon led bulb. Also the LT-1 is a direct replacement for both the MinMag AA and AAA. The TLE-5 will only fit the MinMag AA flashlight.
http://www.led-replacement.com and http://store.led-replacement.com (LT-1 are still on sale for only $22.95 each
