My entry in the class 2, I posted a similar light as my 1st Mod , then I refined it by adding more leds and a better circuit.

Class 2: \"Megasonic\"

Talk about timing... just made my first flashlight mod and there is a contest. Hope others enjoy checking it out 1/10th as much as I did making it.

Summary: took a 100 Lumen, 7W incandescent drill-battery lantern and modded to a 180Lumen, 9W LED megalantern.

The maguflex is a 2D Maglite, that has been modified with a "Uflex" Circuit and TWAK LuxIII LED.
This project started a LONG time ago, and has been changed, and revamped more times than I can count. Becuase of this, the lights fit and finish is not near what I would like it to be. Half way through this project, I knew this one would end up being a good learning experience. This light turned out really well, and is super useful.

Class 2: Mag2D LuxIII nFlex mod (8 brightness levels)

Here is my Mag2D LuxIII nFlex mod with 8 brightness levels. Maximum brightness level reconfigured for 1000mA.
Pewter Mag2D, LuxIII TX1J emitter, blue glow ring, O-Sink, nFlex converter, UCL lens, smooth reflector, using 3xCR123 or 6AA NiMH batteries.

The stock Mag clicky switch was modified to a momentary push button switch.
Pushing the modded switch the user can choose the desired brightness out of 8 predefined levels.
