Where can I buy 5mm Cyan LEDs?

Here is an eBay auction for 100 4000 mcd cyan (they call it ocean green) LEDs for $19.00 ($20.00 Buy It Now) with shipping included. The seller is ChiWing. I've ordered from them eight times and they always arrive in NYC within ten days, sometimes less. The cyan I ordered recently were brighter than 4000 mcd. In fact, Craig tested some and I think they came out over 10,000 mcd, and with a pretty wide beam angle as well. In addition, color is very nice-it seems to be "traffic light green", which is really just another name for cyan.

A fan of the website sent me a box of goodies (like batteries, LEDs, flashlights, and a laser); and 5 of these LEDs were among the goodies.
These are Chi Wing's "Ocean Green" LEDs, which emit at 505-507nm in the blue-green region of the spectrum. These are a bit greener than the "Tokyo Blue" blue-green LEDs that used to be more common. This is perfectly normal, and does not in any way indicate a problem with the LED. These LEDs are bluer than true green InGaN LEDs, and greener than true blue GaN LEDs.
The LED has a dual-bond construction; I don't know who actually manufactured it.
At a test current of 23mA, intensity is measured at 14,370mcd.
I'm not equipped to measure beam angles at all. Looks like about 20 degrees to me.

I couldn't possibly use 100 of these Ocean Green LEDs - all I want is about 3 /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif
Anyone who's bought lots of these, and can spare/sell me 3, please let me know (by PM)?

Nichia sells directly. Their specs. show 10 mA but this is to keep the color peek at 505 nm. Max. is the normal 30 mA and running at 20 mA (correction) makes them slightly bluer.
Cost is $5.00 US each for 1-9, $3.00 for 10-99, $2.00 for 100+ plus shipping.
Cyans part number start with NSPE (its the E thats the color).
NSPE500S is 8000 mcd 15°
NSPE510S is 3400 mcd 30°
NSPE590S is 10400 mcd 10°
Note: mcd are at 10 mA!

I always thought that blue-green LEDs would turn slightly bluer when the current was increased, and slightly greener when the current was decreased.
I'll have to try and dig up my Nichia NSPE500S LED from late 2003 and see what happens.

My error, I think - got to find that Nichia chart again, increase current in any LED should add output at shorter wavelength! You're right bluer with more current.
later - I was remembering the chart wrong, even though I know which way the peak should shift!
1 mA is 510 nm
5 mA is 507 nm
10 mA is 505 nm
30 mA is 501 nm
even later - Because of where these are intended to go Nichia has also figured color shift of running with plusating DC (full wave rectified AC). It looks to be about 4 nm toward the blue. That would be 2 mA to keep the color peak at 505 nm!
