What would be good donor bodies (1x123) for an Opalec Newbeam mod? I've seen the E1e from Don, but that's a bit expensive (the E1e). Also got a tip for the following:
Harbor Freight but don't know how switching on that one goes.
Any other good ones out there? Preferably Aluminum with HA III

Thanks,

the one on the right uses only the E1e bezel, an adaptor made by Roth and an Arc twisty. Should be smalles possible right now.
I really like it very much this way.

I wonder if it's feasible to mod the Opalec into the Tekna Splash-lite or Mono-lith, both plastic 1x123 incandescent lights from way back when. I know someone did an Opalec mod for the Princeton Tec Blast, which is a waterproof 2AAA light, if you just want a small Opalec light that's not necessarily run by a CR123A. There are lithium AAA's coming soon and a pair of them should have similar runtime, cold weather performance, etc. to a CR123A.
