Hi Guys Some time ago I needed some hotlips. There were NONE to be had. So I hunted around for a place to make me some copies of the Premium Hotlips that we all know and love. One thing led to another and I decided to have a few made. I did have a problem with Hotlips. I was bad at centering the emitter. I am Just bad at at.
I had a good 10% failure rate. I found it very frustrating(and expensive). This required a slight redesign of the pedestal. So that is what I did. You see the result here:
Guess what!! It works. It works perfectly!!
Here are the next generation of D cell O-SINKS.
The change is that I added new modified self centering pedestal from the c cell units. This while holding the emitter perfectly centered it allows any excess adhesive easy escape. Top unit is the matte black anodizing (these are really nice). Lower left is the chemcote and on the right is untreated. I love my metal surface guys. They were able to clean 90 and mask and anodize 60 parts for me over night.
They did a great job.
Thank you.
