I was playing grown up kid this weekend with RC off-road cars well into dark. One guy was doing some maintainence on his car after sunset and was having trouble seeing what he was doing.

So I punched a hole in the dark with the trusty Arc4 and he said "thanks... wow, that's a bright flashlight... OMFG, that's small!". It was on the default medium setting but compared to the yellow hollow state lights around that night, the pure white beam must have been a shock to him.

Anybody else ever have that happen to them?

I am acustomed to use my LSHF, also once using it as a navigation light at the stern of a sailboat with all the batteries depleted at night,it still amazes me the sidespill of the ARC 4+, since that night I always take a red SF filter to use as an emergency light just in case.
Otherwise, one of the things that made me decide to purchase this light is the SOS feature, I hope I will never have to use it.
