I was trying to find an appropriate box to use to mail a Surefire clear 9P box bought by another member. He's a collector and needed this box for the clear 9P in his collection. Since it was in mint condition I didn't want to mail it in a padded envelope and let it get banged up. I found that the box for a small propane torch I bought at Home Depot recently was just about the right size to protect the Surefire box, so I pulled it off the shelf in my garage and emptied it. Inside was the manual for the torch. I did a double take when I saw the front page /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif .

That is one neat collection of surefire labeled non flashlight items. It would appear the name has been in use a lot longer than the surefire we are aquainted with.
