Best Value Luxeon Module for MagLites?

I have several D-Cell mag lites (a 3, 4, & 6 cell) and am interested in a drop in Luxeon for them. What is the best value/choice for this application? The lights are for general use: two live in the car, and one by the bed. I have gone to 6 volt lights for carry, but want to get some use out of these dinosaurs if possible.

Best value and easiest mod would probably be the EverLED. HOWEVER, for maximum brightness, nothing beats a Hotlips mod.
