The replacement value for all of my lights is about $1000. That's not much compared to REAL Flashaholics but it surprised me when I added everything up.

About $500 of that is in the form of true, flashaholic grade, lights. The rest, $500, is for some very good (like SL-PP4 & 3C, SuperPeli etc.) some lanterns and finally, many el cheapos.

These lights have been accumulating for 20 years, and at an increasing rate since joining the CPF. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ohgeez.gif I've been fortunate that many of these lights were gifts (thanks again ksbman!) so I didn't spend the grand, myself. THAT tid bit helps me to feel a photon less guilty. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mecry.gif

Sooo...what's the worth of YOUR collection? Come on - do the math and give it up. We're all in this together. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

I have about 20 lights, half of them 4+ cell vintage police types. I probably have the lowest value/light ratio of anyone here--about $140 replacement or used market value for everything.

Very nice jtivat, I was thinking of doing the same.
Now that I have so many, and so much $$$ tied up into it, I think I better keep better track of things, especially who I purchase them from.

I dont even want to know, im sure its way too much. I dont have *that* many lights, its the mods and accessories that nudge the cost up. I also seem to end up hoarding nice luxeons too whenever they become available.

I stopped buying everything that looks neat, and stopped looking for "the brightest" after realizing that I could not tell when the batteries were half gone on a high power light.

Currently, I'm only buying lights for modding or that have a unique attribute.

I've only got about $1500 invested. That includes things like a $65 lightwave 4000, several $25 vintage mini-mags and a $165 VIP. I've only been "collecting" for less than a year. Before that I was just buying them. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I think I should seriously take an inventory. I've got several lights that are over $300, most of which are over $400. Off the top of my head, I can add up over $4k. In fact, my flashlights have almost caught up to my firearms in $ value. Maybe I need to call USAA and take out another rider for the lights?!

About $1500 dollars worth of lights. Add batteries and charger and it jumps up closer to $1600 or $1700. All this and I am only in highschool! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/twakfl.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jpshakehead.gif

I ain't going there!

And the only custom stuff I have are 1 SNII, 1 EL STARLUX, and 1 Milkyspit Milkbone. Well, also one Madmax and one Opalec in Minis.

But I am at over 100 lights, with several being dollar store stuff.

TOO SPOOKY TO THINK ABOUT!

Hmmmmm,
I counted $722 for the lights I have now. 12 AA NiMH batteries/2 D NiMH batteries and charger is another $130. I will be ordering a 5 LED red light for $40 soon so....
$892 total... not bad, not bad at all. The good thing is after the WX1S project has been completed... I will be content. No... really, I will!
