"best" and "cheapest" do not go together in terms of 123-cells.

For 123 cells, many people here on CPF feel that the Surefire batteries are the best value at $1.25 each in a 12 pack. Many also like the Battery Station 123s which are slightly cheaper and Botach had a special on Sanyo/GE 123s $20 for 20 including shipping. If Botach doesn't include shipping in the price, I wouldn't order from them because their normal shipping costs are outrageously high.

Check out KJs runtime plots in the Reviews section of CPF. The best performers were Energizer, Duracell, Surefire, Sanyo, and Panasonic. The worst by a significant margin were the Battery Station and YunTong 123s. The date on the runtime post is Feb 2004, so in fairness, does anyone know if Battery Station has improved their 123 battery performance?
