Uh-oh, what's this?

And will it fit the BulkHead???

(just a proto mock-up, the real thing will have a much shorter, and probably socket-headed, attachment screw as well as a revised curvature to fit both heads...)

Opinions?

Looks good! Put me down for one!

I do have a few questions

1. Will the screw cut threads into the lanyard hole of the Kings Crown? or will you use a nut or a captive nut?

2. How about a hole in the clip to allow attachment of a lanyard or dummy cord?

3. Will the final clip make contact the smooth part of the BH or the knurled body of the VIP. My concern is that contact on the knurled part would quickly wear holes in clothing.

Thanks for the great work!

0) won't be black, probably a dark gray natural metal finish

1) this one is threaded into the existing King's Crown hole - we don't want anything sticking out on the other side, ya see

2) possible

3) smooth part of whichever head is on it

Oooh. Been waiting for this one. Gets a /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif from me.

Oh, and I guess I'd have to EDC my VIP with one of those.

I assume you'd either have to remove the clip to accommodate the BBH or use the twisty in that configuration.

Yeah the BBH would definitely require removal - or a BAC ("Big-Assed Clip"?). But then you'd need a Big-Assed Pocket to hold it... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Or how about clipping it to one's belt, with the BBH hanging down - outside?

Just musing-out-loud, drivel-ish thoughts at this point...

Hi Charlie,

I think you want a socket(or maybe Torx)-button head fastener. the Torx is better, but you'd have to include the key/tool, and they're a couple $.

Looks very nice but like you said will need to be shorter to fit with the BH.

You can count on me for one.

I'm surprised you're not calling it the VIPClip!

I like the idea, but can't stand the idea of putting a natural metal clip on my beautiful black VIP. Are you really deadset against the idea of hard adonizing the clip to match the VIP?

Also, would it be possible to make the clip's shape hug the curves of the King's Crown more?
