ergo XRay vs. eliteXRay

Ok, just got my elite and I must say that its much better than my ergo. I compared both for light output and the elite is brighter. Are the led's in the elite different from the ergo?

All elite LEDS are S rank nichias, Ergo may or may not be.

Yup. The Elites are using S Rank Nichias rated at 6,400mcd each, while the Ergo's are rated at 5,600mcd each. I did a lightmeter measurement of the Ergo and the Elites (both running Lithiums) and found that the difference in peak footcandles is as much as 20fc! Of course, that's just the hottest spots, but then, I'm sure you'll agree that the output and color is visibly better on the Elites.
