Osram\'s New LED: Golden Dragon

At least I think it's new.
Osram is now making the "Golden Dragon" SMD, 2.3 watt LEDs. They are being produced in various colors as well as white.

The very average luminous efficiency (21 lm/watt) didn't exactly command my attention, but maybe someone here will be interested:

Osram has had preliminary specs on the Golden Dragon for quite some time.

'Looks like it hasn't entered production yet.

I'm not sure if anyone around here has played with them yet.

Golden Dragon®, verde, 2.3 Watt LED, 500 mA max. current - Lead (Pb) Free - RoHS compliant

2.3W ... 500mA.
P=IE
2.3 = .5 * 4.6v

Would this be right 4.6v Vf. and also if you had a SMD led that was putting out 2.3Watts wouldent it melt?
