Very Nice Red LED Pen, + Question

Hello,

I recently bought an LED pen at Office Max for $1.00.
The batteries were dead so they offered it for clearance.
Replacing the batteries, the light worked very well,
but of course it's a red LED. The pen writes very well
too and is a fine point with blue ink. Of course
the LED makes it possible to write in total darkness.
The light switches 'on' with the clicker button at the
top that most pens have, and the writing point comes out
by twisting the barrel.
A nice feature is that the top part of the pen
(with the LED in it) unscrews so that you can get
the top part off, which turns it into a very small
flashlight (about 2 inches long by 1/2 inch in diameter).
The pen is made out of acrylic plastic and metal.
The plastic threads arent that great but ok i guess.
The pen barrel has a little sticker that says:
"Unscrew top to remove protective battery sticker"
which means a new pen would have a sticker to
prevent the pen from being operated untill it is
purchased and the user takes out this sticker
so the battery can make contact.

The red LED can be replaced with any color or
white if the battery type is simply replaced with
another type i suppose.

Problem is, i dont know the manufacturers' name or
anything about where to get more of these pens.

Any ideas out there about where these come
from?

i've seen dallas cowboy pens liek this except the LED was blue in color...i asked the guy who owned them, but he didn't know where they came from...said they were stocking stuffers from the folks...

they are pretty nice, but one thing i don't like about monochrome lights...we were driving down the road and he was reading the map while i was driving...i asked him what exit number we were looking for and he couldn't tell me...i knew the map had exit numbers on it, so i whipped out my arc-aaa...the exit numbers were in blue...=P

Yeah, that's the trouble with colored
lights. I think white is best, that's
why i want to replace the red LED with
a white one.
Also, now i realize that i dont know how
to change the ink cartridge either.
It didnt come with instructions, and
that part of the pen doesnt seem to come
apart.
