Hmmm...I bought 3 very similar (could be the same body) flashlights at the local Kmart at roughly US$10. My 3 x 3W EL Tristar disc and optic fit perfectly into the head without any modification. And then I put 4 AA Nimhs - the thing is bright. Very bright!!!
