I was donking around at my computer. I had the Garrity 2AA light that I had tried to use the clickie from in my PM6.

Since the Garrity 2AA ain't worth much as it exists stock, I parted it out.

Looking at the Dorcy 1AA 3LED I had there (I had Satin taped it for a smoother beam) It looked like the clickie would fit in the tailcap.

I tried it first without a boot, and it works nicely. With the boot installed the cap won't quite screw down to cover the oring, but the the light still works.

This particular Garrity Clickie is unreliable as all get out. But as a proff of concept device it has paid dividends!

The Dorcy 2AA 4LED might be an awefully nice light with a reliable clickie...

A mind is a terrible thing...

Hmm.... went to Walmart last night and got two Garrity 2AA lights (against my better judgement!).

The NEWEST version of the Garrity not only has the spare bulb tailcap, but it has a non focusing beam as well. Wonder what led to that little detail eh?

Anyhow, there seems to be a ground issue in the Dorcys. I think the anodizing causes problems. I can't quite get them to work with the Garrity switch.

I have only just begun to fight!
