Woo my first mod! Basically a copy of Mr. Bulk's 7.01.04 mod.

I used the head and tail of the old goldmine/CTD 8led light with the body of the current goldmine/CTD light. everything is interchangable.

The basic mod used a Lux III TV1L Emitter from Dat2Zip, IMS 17mm reflector, some brass strip, some steel strip, 22 gauge solid copper wire, a Lapped down penny, a hand shaped AL penny sized slug, the Circuit Works Conductive Epoxy, some Epoxy putty, arctic alumina epoxy and 2.5 m metric machine screws. Its direct drive.

So here is the top of pill with some of the above parts thrown in for size.

Here is the assembled head top down.

Here is the under side of the pill, with the positive contact of brass on an epoxy putty platform. a steel strip was screwed to the bottom to act as a spring contact, the head doesn't want to complete a circuit without it, even after wirebrushing it with a dremel.

Beam shot line up

from bottom to top: CCrane rotobeam, Stock 8 led/3aaa, TV1L 3aaa, Mini Mag w/ kroll, Mag 2D, Elektrolumens Green Blaster II mod with Lux III TV1J w/ resistor

The pics were done with a Canon powershot S45, manually configured for exposure, White Balance set to "flourescent", ISO 400, 2 Sec delay, on a tripod.

the beam is not as green IRL, its MUCH better than the original 1 watt N2JW that was in the blaster. the blaster has a brighter spot than the 3aaa, but the 3aaa is in the same class for close in work, the blaster will whip it in throw. the 3aaa mod destroys the Mags. LOL.
