I was wondering if anyone has the Peak 1LEDx1CR123A and 3LEDx1CR123A lights?

http://www.peakledsolutions.net/cr123.html

I found Craig had reviewed them, but I didn't notice a lot of talk about relative brightness and beam quality.

I was a bit suprised about how fast the 1LED drops off. When it does, how bright is it? As bright as a Infinity regular, or??

How bright is the 3LED? As bright as a Newbeam?

It seems that these lights might make good emergency kit lights and was just interested in hearing more about them.

Oh, and it would be great to get some more pics, esp compared to some other lights like the Infinity.

Thanks.

BTW, thanks to Craig for doing runtime graphs on these.

[Edit: From Craig's web site I grabbed the following tidbits:

Peak 1LED = 10,340mcd
Infinity Ultra = 15,000mcd
Infinity = 7,000mcd

This leads me to assume that the normal (30+hrs) brightness of the Peak 1LED lights is about 5000mcd, or slightly less bright than the original Infinity.

Peak 3LED = 45,500mcd
Newbeam = 33,100mcd

So the good news is the Peak 3LED is slightly brighter than the Newbeam and you get 5 good hours from a single cell where the Newbeam gets 10 good hours from two cells. So in general, this looks pretty good.]

I'm afraid I can't help you on run-times, but I just last week received a Peak McKinley 3 LED and a Peak McKinley 7 LED (both brass). The 7 LED is brighter, but frankly not by much. I like the slightly heavier feel of the 3 LED over the 7 as well. The 7 is a better user light, but the 3 gives me plenty for what I use it for, which is just for sneaking around the house at night without waking the family.
