I can be the problem with a component that did not meet specifications. Peter has mentioned that and has fixed it with a different lot of parts. I would send it back.

The solder blob on the bottom of the board might have become flattened and you'd need to reshape it (or make a new one). Peter has a "do-it-yourself" maintenance post somewhere in his forum. It has a buncha pics and stuff. Or, you can send it back for repairs.

I suspect is is the bad chip that we spotted in January and fixed in March. Send it in, the chips we have now work much better.
