If you happen to visit Bern (Switzerland), then take a look at the large place in front of the parliament. A new (very modern) fountain has been installed. It consists of 26 small holes in the ground and around each hole there are four lights installed beneath round glass lenses. I'm pretty sure these are white 1W Luxeons. The 26 fountains are computer-controlled, and the whole show repeats every 30 minutes. It also runs in daylight, but it's much better at night!
The strange thing is that the illuminated fountains look good, but what is almost cooler is when the water splashes down to the ground and onto the Luxeons. Because the Luxeons are pointed up to the sky, you don't see much light when there's no water, but when the water splashed down on them, the drops reflect the light and it looks as if the lights were getting much brighter for an instant. (This is hard to describe! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon3.gif) Well, go and have a look when you're around. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
